Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) and Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank), a digital bank in the UAE, have joined forces to introduce the “Mbank Wallet” services in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. This collaboration will cover more than 120 Emarat stations.

Soon, customers will have the convenience of making contactless payments seamlessly at Emarat fuel stations and for “Freshplus” products at convenience stores. By simply scanning the QR code at the checkout counter with their smartphones, they can complete their transactions.

Additionally, the Mbank Wallet will provide customers with a range of services. They will have the opportunity to earn and spend MPoints, enjoy exclusive offers from the Mbank Lifestyle Club, and redeem rewards.

Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, the Director General at Emarat, expressed pride in the company’s customer-centric reputation and its commitment to exploring new technologies and innovations. He believes that partnering with Mbank will significantly improve the customer experience at Emarat stations by introducing secure, flexible, and seamless alternative payment solutions.

Mbank Wallet holds the distinction of being the first digital wallet in the UAE that has received approval and licensing from the Central Bank. Users are not required to create a bank account to utilize the wallet. Instead, they can open an account using their Emirates ID and engage in money transfers to and from other UAE banks using an IBAN number.
