United AirlinesAzul Brazilian Airlines and United Airlines have jointly announced an expansion of their codeshare agreement, enabling travelers to easily access a greater number of cities in the United States. The partnership will allow passengers to seamlessly connect between Azul and United flights at Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, granting them access to six new destinations in the US: Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, San Francisco, Washington, and Los Angeles.
The enhanced codeshare agreement offers customers several advantages. Firstly, they will have the convenience of purchasing a single ticket that covers both Azul and United-operated flights. Additionally, travelers will experience greater ease on their travel day through streamlined processes such as one-stop check-in and baggage transfers. Tickets for the expanded routes are already available for purchase on united.com and voeazul.com.br, with flights commencing from May 10. This extension of the partnership builds upon the existing codeshare routes between United and Azul, which connect Houston and Newark.
Azul currently operates 16 direct flights from Brazil to Fort Lauderdale, linking to cities including Recife, Manaus, Viracopos, Belém, and Belo Horizonte. Furthermore, there are direct flights from Orlando to Viracopos.

Azul operates daily flights to Fort Lauderdale/Miami and Orlando using retrofitted A330 aircraft. These aircraft offer 20 lie-flat business class seats with direct aisle access, as well as 110 Economy Premium seats that provide increased legroom for added comfort and space. All seats are equipped with individual inflight entertainment on demand, Wi-Fi, and power outlets, and passengers are treated to Azul’s renowned international flagship meal service.
