Pret a Manger unveilS changes to its coffee subscription service, expanding the scheme to cover freshly made food, snacks and other drinks.
GLOStarting April 26, individuals who sign up for the new ‘Club Pret’ membership will enjoy a 10% discount on all food, beverages, and snacks available at Pret stores for a monthly fee of £30. During the first month, the fee will be reduced by half. As part of the membership, subscribers can still receive up to five expertly prepared drinks by baristas each day. Additionally, any extra drinks purchased will receive a 10% discount, which encompasses the full range of beverages such as coffees, teas, hot chocolates, and the newly introduced iced drinks.
Existing coffee subscribers will be automatically enrolled in the new ‘Club Pret’ offer, which will be accessible in the majority of Pret’s 439 stores in the United Kingdom. Initially launched in September 2020, the coffee subscription has garnered significant popularity, being utilized approximately 1.25 million times per year. It has since expanded to customers in the United States and France.
Pret a Manger chief executive Pano Christou said: “Over the past year, we’ve thought long and hard about the best way to support the people who matter most to Pret – our team members who do such an outstanding job, day in and day out, as well as our customers.
“That’s why we’ve increased pay three times in the past 12 months, and reinvested in benefits to support our people through the cost-of-living crisis.
“It’s now time that we give back to our most loyal customers, expanding the subscription and making our freshly made food, snacks and organic coffee more accessible to the people who have been crucial to Pret’s success. That’s what Club Pret is all about.”
