Air Canada and Bell have recently established a long-term collaboration where will offer Aeroplan members a new perk of complimentary messaging during their flight. Furthermore, there will be supplementary advantages for individuals who are new to Canada or visiting the country.

Beginning on May 15, 2023, Air Canada and Air Canada Express flights worldwide will provide free in-flight messaging to Aeroplan members, as long as the airplane has operational in-flight Wi-Fi. Text-based messages can be sent and received through various apps such as Apple’s iMessage, Meta’s WhatsApp and Messenger, Rakuten’s Viber, and Messages by Google. This service is not exclusive to Aeroplan members only, as United MileagePlus, Lufthansa Group Miles & More, and Emirates Skywards members can also enjoy free in-flight messaging if their account numbers are linked to an Air Canada booking.

The partnership between Air Canada and Bell will also offer complimentary mobile SIM cards on specific inbound international flights to newcomers and visitors to Canada. The SIM card can be activated during the flight to ensure connectivity upon arrival.

The collaboration between Air Canada and Bell may also involve Aeroplan promotional rewards, which could involve points earning or redemption. However, the details remain unknown at this time.

In summary, Air Canada and Bell are expanding their partnership to provide more benefits to their customers, including free in-flight messaging and mobile SIM cards for select international travelers, with potential future collaborations on Aeroplan promotional rewards.
