Cathay Pacific announced that beginning Dec. 31, travelers on select San Francisco–Hong Kong flights will experience the airline’s latest onboard products, including the new Aria Suite Business Class, an upgraded premium economy cabin, and a refreshed economy section. This marks the first appearance of the new cabins on U.S. services; the airline initially rolled them out in North America earlier this year on its Hong Kong–Vancouver route.

The revamped cabins are part of Cathay’s broader Boeing 777-300ER retrofit initiative, which features redesigned interiors, updated inflight entertainment systems, and enhanced privacy in business class through fully enclosed suites. The Aria Suite introduces sliding doors, increased storage, and a next-generation seat design aimed at improving comfort on long-haul flights. Premium economy has been reworked with larger recline angles, improved cushioning, and expanded personal space, while economy receives refreshed seating and upgraded IFE screens.

The San Francisco–Hong Kong service will run six times per week using the refurbished 777-300ER aircraft, as Cathay gradually rolls out the new configuration across more of its long-haul network. The upgrades complement the airline’s separate project to install the new “Halo Suite” First Class on select aircraft in 2026, part of an ongoing modernization strategy following its post-pandemic recovery.
