Beginning this fall, Delta customers traveling between New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX) can look forward to elevated dining and additional room to stretch out in Delta Premium Select as the airline delivers this popular product on domestic U.S. transcontinental flights for the first time.

Delta Premium Select will launch on September 10 on four of Delta’s 11 peak-day flights between LAX and JFK on a Boeing 767 widebody aircraft newly equipped with four product experiences: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin. Delta expects to expand to additional daily JFK-LAX frequencies later this year.

“Delta Premium Select will bring a new level of comfort, luxury and practicality to one of Delta’s most important routes in the domestic U.S. as we continue to work to deliver more premium experiences to our customers,” said Maurico Parise, Vice President – Brand Experience Design. “This product has been a success internationally, especially following the recent investments we’ve made onboard, and we know that customers flying between New York and Los Angeles will enjoy the opportunity to treat themselves to a more spacious seat and premium experience.”

Delta Premium Select offers travelers more space to stretch out and relax with a wider seat, additional recline, and an adjustable footrest and leg rest on most long-haul international flights.

Delta Premium Select debuted in 2017 and now operates on a majority of Delta’s trans-Pacific and trans-Atlantic flights, as well as on select routes to Latin America. The product was recently refreshed to feature more locally inspired dining, premium hand-crafted amenities, more dedicated service, and the option to pre-select onboard meals.

The expansion of DPS to U.S. transcontinental flights is the latest in more than a decade’s worth of investments by Delta in New York and Los Angeles – both in the air and on the ground. And as Delta continues to carry out its commitment to bringing fast, free Wi-Fi presented by T-Mobile to its entire global fleet, customers traveling between these two hubs will enjoy reliable, streaming-quality connectivity on all flights by the end of September.

Before DPS customers are welcomed on board, they’ll have the option to pre-select their desired first service entrée. This fall, DPS customers traveling from JFK to LAX may choose to enjoy curated menu options from Union Square Events, which feature braised turkey meatballs with arrabbiata sauce, mashed potatoes and sauteed kale, or a summer vegetable lasagna with a parmesan cream sauce and cherry tomatoes. Breakfast items include a French onion frittata with gruyere breadcrumbs, Canadian bacon and roasted cherry tomatoes, or croissant monkey bread with a peach raspberry compote.

For travel from LAX to JFK, DPS customers will have the option to pre-select curated options from Jon & Vinny’s, including a mustard marinated chicken thigh with mashed potatoes, kale and roasted tomatoes, or baked rigatoni with broccoli and a bechamel sauce topped with parmesan. Breakfast options on eastbound flights include cheddar scrambled eggs with chicken date sausage, potatoes, red peppers and onions, or a Greek yogurt with tropical granola.

At the airport, customers flying Delta Premium Select are eligible for Sky Priority® service, which includes dedicated check-in and baggage service. Once it’s time to board, DPS customers receive priority boarding in Zone 2.

In flight, customers will be treated to a hot towel service followed by an elevated dining experience with main courses served on plates with linen tableware and napkins, silver flatware and glassware.
