Hotels.com, Expedia, and Vrbo, will be launching a new rewards program, called One Key. The new rewards currency referred to as OneKeyCash, and will cover all three brands.

The Hotels.com Rewards program has been a popular option for travelers who prefer not to be tied to a particular hotel chain’s loyalty program. It offers a reward of 10% on hotel spending, with every 10 nights of stay earning a free night, and the value of the free night being equal to the average spending over those 10 nights. However, the program is undergoing major changes with the launch of a new rewards program called One Key, which will cover Hotels.com, Expedia, and Vrbo. The new program will offer only 2% in OneKeyCash for every dollar spent on eligible hotels, vacation rentals, activities, packages, rental cars, and cruises, and 0.2% OneKeyCash for every dollar spent on eligible flights. While the value of the “stamps” earned in the previous program will be transitioned to the new program, this represents a significant decrease in rewards for travelers. The new program is being marketed as simplified, but it will no longer offer the competitive 10% reward that Hotels.com Rewards did.
