IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, is proud to announce its first Vignette Collection property in France, a major milestone for the brand’s European expansion and a testament to its trusted partnerships and commitment to luxury hospitality. Following an agreement with Global Hotels & Resorts (GHR), the property will be set across two separate buildings – the existing Tiara Miramar and Tiara Yaktsa hotels, which will see their unique charm and rich history being retained as well as their distinctive character while being elevated under the Vignette Collection.

Once open in 2026, the hotel will join Vignette Collection’s rapidly expanding family of one-of-a-kind independent hotels, part of IHG’s leading luxury and lifestyle portfolio – one of the world’s largest.

Against the backdrop of the Massif de l’Esterel, the first Vignette Collection in France will boast Riviera vistas from its location in the picturesque town of Théoule sur Mer. A wide range of activities, from walking trails to water sports, are all in close proximity, alongside its on-site meeting and events space for all occasions. Future guests can expect not only the tranquillity and charm of the properties but also exclusive features, like the iconic red rock beaches and Michelin-starred dining, curated for one-of-a-kind stays. Additional features include several swimming pools, a gym, spa and a stylish bar.

The hotel underscores the momentum behind IHG’s newest luxury and lifestyle collection brand as it grows at pace. In just three years, the brand has surpassed the halfway point in its ambitious decade-long target to attract 100 hotels. The property adds to an existing European presence of 10 open hotels – including Verno House Budapest, Vignette Collection and The Halyard Liverpool, Vignette Collection both of which opened last year – and a global portfolio of over 50 signed and pipeline properties.

The first Vignette Collection in France also introduces introduces IHG’s sixth luxury and lifestyle brand to France. Five of the six brands are currently represented in the region with 12 open properties, including iconic examples Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel, Kimpton St Honoré Paris, InterContinental Lyon – Hotel Dieu, Hotel Indigo: Paris – Opera, and Six Senses Courchevel.

Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “The signing of the first Vignette Collection in France aligns perfectly with our luxury and lifestyle growth plans across Europe, as we focus on accelerating the expansion of new brands across priority markets, including France, whilst establishing one-of-a-kind properties in sought-after urban and resort locations.”

“I’m excited to be working alongside our long-standing partners at GHR to bring the first Vignette Collection to this market, and to strengthen our luxury and lifestyle offering along the Côte d’Azur. Together with GHR, we have seen great success with our existing properties – InterContinental Lisbon and Crowne Plaza Porto – and are now delighted to bring forward a unique hotel in a prestigious and internationally recognised location. With IHG’s trusted reputation and leading loyalty offer, we are confident that the hotel will cater to the growing demand for authentic, curated hospitality experiences.”

As a collection brand, Vignette Collection appeals to owners of world-class independent luxury and lifestyle hotels seeking to quickly benefit from IHG’s powerful technology and revenue systems, operational expertise, and loyalty offer, without the need for high upfront costs or compromise on a property’s unique character, style, or name. For luxury and lifestyle travellers, it meets an increasing appetite for one-of-a-kind stays, backed by the reassurance of IHG’s trusted reputation and leading loyalty offer.

“Our objective is to sustainably grow our portfolio of exceptional properties and of solid investments, and to generate value and wealth generation after generation, said Sheikh Mohammed Youssef El Khereiji, Founder, Global Hotels & Resorts. “We are proud to partner once again with IHG Hotels & Resorts to bring a Vignette Collection property to France, marking an exciting new chapter for our Tiara Miramar and Tiara Yaktsa hotels. Having worked together successfully on properties like InterContinental Lisbon and Crowne Plaza Porto, we knew that combining IHG’s trusted reputation with our vision and commitment to delivering world-class hospitality would create something exceptional. The French Riviera, with its timeless appeal and global recognition as a luxury destination, was the perfect choice for this venture. We look forward to offering Luxury & Lifestyle travellers a truly unique and unforgettable experience when the property opens in 2026.”
