Majid Al Futtaim, a major developer and operator of shopping malls, retail, and leisure destinations across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, has formed a strategic partnership with Lime Consumer Finance, Egypt’s largest education-financing platform, to introduce more flexible, digitally enabled payment solutions for shoppers across its Egyptian properties.
The agreement—signed at Majid Al Futtaim’s Egypt headquarters by Rasha Azab, Managing Director of Shopping Malls for Egypt and Lebanon, and Ahmed Mohsen, CEO and Managing Director of Lime—marks a significant step toward modernizing Egypt’s retail and financial landscape. Both organizations aim to advance customer-centric services, expand digital inclusion, and offer greater financial accessibility.
Through the Lime app, customers can now tap into a suite of instant financing tools, including quick approvals, tailored installment plans, and personalized spending options. After signing a contract at a Lime kiosk, shoppers receive on-the-spot credit, allowing them to manage purchases in line with their budgets and lifestyle needs.
The collaboration supports Majid Al Futtaim’s focus on creating convenient, flexible retail experiences while helping Lime extend its reach beyond education financing into broader lifestyle spending. It also aligns with Egypt’s wider push toward a more digital, cashless economy.
“Our partnership with Lime reinforces our efforts to elevate the retail experience with smart, flexible solutions,” said Rasha Azab. “Together, we’re delivering added value, exclusive promotions, and innovative digital services that meet the expectations of modern shoppers.”
Lime’s Mohsen added, “Integrating financial solutions into everyday shopping is key to building a more inclusive financial ecosystem. Working with Majid Al Futtaim enables us to bring innovative financing options to Egypt’s premier retail destinations.”
The partnership launches with a one-month cashback campaign across Mall of Egypt, City Centre Almaza, City Centre Alexandria, and City Centre Maadi. Customers who pay tuition fees using Lime at these malls will receive 15% cashback with no cap, issued via Majid Al Futtaim’s gift card, redeemable at more than 700 stores—from fashion and dining to electronics and entertainment. Lime kiosks inside the malls will support quick registration and instant cashback issuance.
Majid Al Futtaim, founded in 1992, operates 29 shopping malls—including Mall of the Emirates and Mall of Egypt—alongside hotels, mixed-use communities, a major grocery retail network, and region-leading entertainment assets such as VOX Cinemas and Ski Dubai. Its digital loyalty ecosystem, SHARE, connects experiences across the group through personalized rewards and data-driven engagement.
