Newsweek has collaborated with Statista to assess over 300 loyalty programs across 40 categories in the 4th annual ranking of America's Best Loyalty Programs.
GLONewsweek released 2024 ranking of top loyalty programs in the USA. Loyalty programs may offer individual perks like a complimentary cup of coffee or a discounted shirt, but on a broader scale, they wield significant influence on companies’ financial performance. According to data analysis firm Statista, the global loyalty management ecosystem is projected to reach a value of $24 billion by the end of 2029, a substantial increase from approximately $5.6 billion in 2022.
This growth indicates a considerable number of consumers opting to become repeat customers. In response, businesses have implemented loyalty programs spanning various sectors, offering similar incentives such as discounts and freebies. However, with numerous options available, determining which programs merit enrollment can be daunting.
To simplify the process, Newsweek has collaborated with Statista to assess over 300 loyalty programs across 40 categories in the fourth annual ranking of America’s Best Loyalty Programs. Our team meticulously evaluated offers from supermarkets, eateries, fashion brands, cosmetics companies, and other retail sectors, assigning each program a rating from 1 to 10 based on its benefits and value proposition. Our aim is to guide you towards the most rewarding loyalty programs tailored to your shopping preferences.
Methodology:
The 2024 ranking of America’s Best Loyalty Programs was compiled based on the results of an independent survey of more than 4,000 U.S. customers who are members of loyalty programs of retailers or service providers in the United States. Customers were given the opportunity to evaluate various loyalty programs: in total around 17,900 evaluations were collected. The survey period ran from October to November 2023. We defined loyalty programs as all reward programs that provided the customer with a benefit when purchasing or using the products or services of the associated brands. The survey was conducted on retailers and service providers from 41 categories, providing results for a broad spectrum of loyalty programs in traditional retail, online retail, and service segments. The awarded loyalty programs each received an above average overall score.
