Penelope Cruz Revealed As The New Emirates Brand Ambassador

The airline’s latest advertising campaign forms part of their larger “Fly Better” initiative. Emirates has been actively working to enhance their in-flight experiences and aims to spread this message worldwide. One recent ad campaign revolves around the renowned frequent flyer Gerry the Goose. While the airline acknowledges that the campaign has been fairly successful and well-received by the public, they intend to revamp their advertising strategy by enlisting a celebrity spokesperson.

The new adverts featuring Cruz will premiere on television in June. They have been filmed in both English and Spanish, in the hope of resonating with a wider audience and generating increased demand for Emirates flights. While the advertisements will vary, they all share a common theme: that “travel is not solely about reaching the final destination; it also encompasses the journey itself.”

Each ad will be relatively brief, conveying a simple message about the pleasurable and luxurious experiences that await travelers on any Emirates flight. Most of the videos will depict Cruz traveling in business and first-class seats while enjoying the airline’s distinctive offerings. Oscar-winning director Robert Stromberg has directed these short videos. Stromberg has closely collaborated with Emirates staff and executives to ensure that the advertisements effectively capture the level of comfort and luxury the airline aims to portray.

Thanks to the combined efforts of Stromberg and the video production team, the airline believes that the new advertising campaign will serve as a testament to their commitment to comfort and luxury. Richard Billington, the Senior Vice President of Brand and Advertising at Emirates, expressed his pride in creating these adverts and stated that the airline has chosen the ideal spokesperson to represent their “Fly Better” campaign.
