Southwest Airlines is set to expand its network in March 2025 with the introduction of seven new routes, which include four domestic and three international services from Austin, Nashville, and Sacramento.

Starting on March 6, 2025, Southwest will commence four new domestic routes: Austin to Milwaukee, Austin to Reno, Nashville to Indianapolis, and Sacramento to Tucson. These routes will be operated using Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The Austin-Milwaukee service will be available on weekdays only, connecting Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) with Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE). Meanwhile, the Austin-Reno route, linking AUS with Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), will have a less frequent schedule. The Nashville-Indianapolis route will offer daily flights between Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Indianapolis International Airport (IND). Additionally, Southwest will introduce weekend flights between Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and Tucson International Airport (TUS).
On March 8, 2025, Southwest will launch two new international routes between the U.S. and Mexico. The Nashville-Los Cabos service will connect BNA with Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), while the Sacramento-Puerto Vallarta route will link SMF with Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Both routes will operate on Saturdays only.
Furthermore, Southwest will introduce a new route between Nashville and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, also starting on March 8, 2025. This service will operate on Saturdays only, connecting BNA with Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).
In addition to these new routes, starting March 6, 2025, Southwest plans to increase the number of red-eye flights, offering overnight services from Denver, San Diego, and Sacramento.
Southwest Airlines currently serves 117 destinations across the United States and 10 additional countries.
