Tesco Clubcard increases frequency of personalised coupons to every 2 weeks ahead of Christmas period

Ahead of Christmas period, Tesco is revamping its Clubcard coupon offer to stimulate sales. Tesco Clubcard and grocery app is currently used by over 4 million and the grocer is preparing to close current app in 2023. Members will now receive personalised coupons every two weeks in the run up the Christmas Day, rather than every six weeks. Personalised digital coupons will be selected based on a customers tastes and include bonus points and instant discounts to use in-store and online.

Tesco Clubcard and grocery app is currently used by over 4 million and the grocer is preparing to close current app in 2023. Members will now receive personalised coupons every two weeks in the run up the Christmas Day, rather than every six weeks.

Personalised digital coupons will be selected based on a customers tastes and include bonus points and instant discounts to use in-store and online.

Tesco chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini commented: “Our customers love the way their Clubcard helps them save money on their shopping whilst earning Clubcard points to put towards those little treats like days out and restaurant meals, or to help lower the cost of their groceries and fuel. This exciting new revamp of our personalised Clubcard Coupons is the latest way we’re rewarding our customers and helping them unlock the power of their Clubcard.”

The standalone Clubcard app is due to be discontinued in 2023 and consumers will have to use the new offering. 

Members receiving Clubcard statements and vouchers by post from Tesco will continue to have the option to do so.

The new app helps customers shop in-store and online, earn Clubcard points and spend Clubcard coupons and vouchers.

Users of the new app can also utilise a number of other new features including a Store Stock Checker, a shopping list function and an ins-store payment barcode which allows shoppers to add a payment card to a digital wallet, enabling them to pay for their shopping and use their points with just one scan.
