To celebrate the Final Four, in collaboration with Euroleague Basketball, Turkish Airlines will be launching the metaverse for the second year in a row.
GLOThe heat is on as the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four kicks off this week in Kaunas, Lithuania, one of the most iconic basketball cities in the world. Europe’s highest-level basketball tournament will take place May 19-21 where the best four teams of Europe, FC Barcelona (Spain), Olympiacos Piraeus (Greece), AS Monaco (Monaco) and Real Madrid (Spain), will compete for the championship title. The event will be held at the Zalgirio Arena, which has the capacity to host more than 15.000 spectators. Kaunas will be hosting the event for the first time this year and will join the list of important cities that have hosted the event.

You will be able to play the all new Turkish Airlines game, and gather coins in order to build your own dream court. Apart from being able to customize your own avatar, play various mini-games or just virtually hang out with other fans and engage, you will also be able to meet up with Final Four players, who will be connecting to the metaverse and control their avatar from Kaunas. Fans who participate in the excitement of the Final Four in Lithuania will have the opportunity to participate in many FanZone events; including a basketball smash game set up on its own mini-court, Jump & Dunk competition that measures the longest jump and airtime with 50,000 Miles&Smiles award, and a basketball challenge game where two people will compete against each other. In addition, visitors who will participate in the raffle with the Turkish Airlines boarding pass, which will be given at the entrance to the Fanzone area, will have the opportunity to win surprise gifts such as flight tickets and Final Four Final Match tickets from Turkish Airlines.
At the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four, the global carrier will once again hold its unique, award-winning “Flight Time” competition which measures players’ spectacular time in the air following a jump. Collaboration with technology partner Hawk Eye Innovations, measured time during the game will be processed in a split second and integrated into the live broadcast. The Flight Time Champion, will be the one that stays on the air for longer on a single jump.

The Final Four semifinals will be played on Friday, May 19 at 18:00 (local time) between Olympiacos Piraeus (Greece) and AS Monaco (Monaco), while the second one will be on the same day again at 21:00 (local time) between FC Barcelona (Spain) and Real Madrid (Spain). On Sunday, May 21, the champion of the tournament will be determined in the final match after the defeated teams truggle for the third place.
